The theory of the acid-base balance of the human body originates from a famous Japanese doctor who determined the value of acidic and alkaline conditions, according to which values ranging between 7.35-7.45 are alkaline, while values under 7.35 provide for an acidic environment.
An alkaline body can be considered healthy and resistant to disease. However, if values shift towards the acidic direction and remains there for a longer period of time, then a process begins within the body where it is not yet sick, but cannot be considered completely healthy either. If pH levels drop below 7.0, diseases may more easily develop. |
