Candid-Plus from Protexin is a probiotic supplement containing fructo-oligosaccharides (56%), with added garlic (14%) and grapefruit seed extract (30%). Taken daily, it can help strengthen the body's natural defences against Candida overgrowth and may help to prevent it changing from its yeast-like form to the invasive filamentous fungus form. This supplement contains seven strains of probiotic bacteria to reinforce the gut microflora, helping to prevent Candida from finding sites in the gut to grow. They also lower the gut pH so that Candida, which prefers a more alkaline environment, cannot thrive. The garlic and grapefruit seed extract are proven natural anti-fungals. These are also proven to be compatible with the probiotic bacteria found in Candid-Plus.

It is useful to know that the lactic acid bacteria are sensitive to commonly used antibiotics. Therefore, a period of at least 3 hours should separate the consumption of the antibiotic and Protexin supplement. The product does not replace a balanced diet. The recommended daily intake is not to be exceeded. Keep out of reach of children.
