The Vitanax PX-4 health food supplement's main ingredients compose of four special mushroom polysaccharides extracts that some research suggests to activate the immune system and to inhibit tumor growth. One of the ingredients, (phellinus linteus) is a medicinal mushroom widely used in Japan, Korea and China. In the wild it grows on Mulberry trees. Interfungins A, a compound isolated from the fruiting body of Phellinus linteus, is a potent protein glycation inhibitor.*
It’s polysaccharide content increases activation of certain immune cells (NK, macrophages). Laboratory, animal, and clinical tests proved these agents to be effective in strenthening the immune system and improving the quality of life. The agents have also been seen to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant effects as well.
Japanese clinical tests have shown that it may strengthen the effectiveness of certain traditional therapies!
Mushroom extract may stop breast cancer growth
Extracts from a mushroom used for centuries in Eastern Asian medicine may stop breast cancer cells from growing and could become a new weapon in the fight against the killer disease, scientists said.
Laboratory tests using human breast cancer cells show the mushroom called Phellinus linteus has a marked anti-cancer effect, probably by blocking an enzyme called AKT. AKT is known to control signals that lead to cell growth.
Phellinus linteus — called song gen in Chinese medicine, sang-hwang in Korean and meshimakobu in Japanese — has previously been shown to have anti-tumour properties on skin, lung and prostate cancer cells.
The new research on breast cancer, however, marks the first time that scientists have started to understand how it works.
Dr Daniel Sliva of the Methodist Research Institute in Indianapolis said the mushroom extract reduced uncontrolled growth of new cancer cells, suppressed their aggressive behaviour and blocked new tumour-feeding blood vessels.
"We're not yet able to apply this knowledge to modern medicine, but we ... hope our study will encourage more researchers to explore the use of medicinal mushrooms for the treatment of cancer," he said.
The findings were reported in the British Journal of Cancer.**

Max-Immun Ltd. was formed in Europe after 20 years of successful research by Prof. Dr. Jozsef Fachet who has worked in cancer research and also is a world-renowned immunologist. The company was founded by Gabor Varga who is an economist and declared the company's goal to be aiding people with weakened immune systems, due to cancer or other ailments, and researching more products to improve the chances of survival and the living conditions of patients with immune deficiency. These new
products should serve as complements to other treatments. |
