A cream for the relief of muscular pain.
KOBRALGIN cream is a medicinal product but not considered a drug. It is suitable for the relief of pain from various muscle disorders and chronic neuritis. It’s localized hyperemic effect makes KOBRALGIN suitable as a warm-up ointment for athletes, and for patients prior to or during physiotherapy. Its efficacy has been demonstrated by experience and reports in medical examinations.
Active ingredients per 1g:
- 50 mg of arnica extract (Arnicae tinctura)
- 0.15 ME (about 0,003 mg) Indian cobra toxin extract (Naja-Naja toxin)
Also contains inactive ingredients:
glycerol, emulsificans anionicum (cetostearyl alcohol, sodium lauryl sulfate, petroleum jelly, liquid paraffin), sodium hydroxide, carbopol 940, soy lecithin, methyl paraben and water.
When is the application of KOBRALGIN cream recommended? For muscular pain due to exertion, strain or as a result of neuritis or tendovaginitis, the cream may bring rapid relief and promote the healing of inflammation. The cream is also suitable for the relief of rheumatic pain and it helps the movement of painfully stiff joints prior to and during physiotherapy. It’s localized hyperemic effect makes the cream a suitable warm-up ointment for athletes.
Recommended Use: The cream should by placed on the aching joint and it's vicinity in thin (1-2 mm.) layers and rubbed in in an even manner.
Depending on the intensity of the pain, the treatment may be repeated 2-6 times a day. For extreme pain, the cream may be applied with a dressing but it should not be airtight. For chronic pain, a therapeutic regimen may be indicated. Athletes in need of warming up may apply the cream to a larger area. KOBRALGIN may be used as a prophylactic to prevent recurrence of pain.
Counterindications for use of the product:
The product should not be used in the presence of allergy to any of its ingredients, nor on a skin surface with an open or epithelial wound, or burn injury. The cream must be kept away from the eyes, from mucous membranes and from epithelial injury. Following application, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water..
May be used by children under adult supervision.
Possible adverse effects:
With the active ingredients having a localized hyperemic effect, there may be a temporary warming sensation and reddening of the skin for 15-20 minutes. Once these symptoms clear up, the treatment may be continued. On rare occasions, an allergic reaction may set in, not only at the site of the application but elsewhere on the body also. In that event, the treatment should be halted. |
