Nettle contains glucosides, tanning agents, formic acid, acetic acid, vitamins B and C, sugars, organic acids, GLUCOKININ (a blood sugar lowering agent), and yellow pigment. It may be used to help treat rheumatism, gout, diabetes, dropsy, hives, cystitis, and kidney sand. Nettle also assists in cleansing blood, has a general strengthening effect, and is an effective antidote against anemia.
