60g (2.11 oz)
A cream for treatment of bruises, swelling, and strains.
Active ingredients within 1g gel
- 2 ATE (antithrombin units) extractum Hirudo medicinalis (medical leech extract)
- 0.05 g Arnicae extract
The MEDHIRUD cream contains medical leech extract and herb extracts, an advantageous mix of the two agents' properties. Due to the unique extraction method, the medical leech extract contains pain-relievers and has anti-inflammatory and anticoagulant, blood clot destroying properties. The cream's other agent is the arnica extract. This extract is primarily used for the treatment of bruises and swelling caused by strains, and helps in treating varicose veins and dissipation of haematomas.
The MEDHIRUD cream is recommended in the case of swelling or bumps caused by strains or hits, or for treatment of haematomas. It also may help to improve venial circulation of closed capillaries, thus helping in supplying oxygen to injured tissues; it is effective in treating varicose veins and in the dissipation of harmful sediments in the connective tissues, and absorption of bluish-lilac colored spots caused by suffusion of blood. Continued use of this cream assists in the absorption of cosmetically unappealing hemorrhaged capillary veins found near the surface of the skin. This cream may also be used by children, however, please keep cream away from the eyes.
Recommended Application: As needed, apply the cream 2-5 times daily onto the part of body to be treated. Coat 1mm think and gently rub into the skin. In more severe cases, apply as a dressing 2mm of cream, covering with a thin, clean cloth and plastic film wrap, covering the film wrap with another layer of cloth or gauze. Leave this dressing on for atleast 30 minutes.
To treat varicose veins, apply the cream and elevate the treated leg for 20-30 minutes (if this is not possible during the day, then please ensure to do so upon your evening treatment).
In the case of haematomas and swelling, continue treatment until absorption takes place, and for varicose veins, until complaints cease. If your varicose vein complaints do not decrease after 4-6 weeks, please contact your physician.
Caution: Do not use the product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, on broken skin (ie. burns, open wounds, epithelial damage, etc.). Those with a sensitivity to Arnicae flower must use caution upon initial application of the cream. In rare cases, particularly for those individuals sensitive to Arnicae flowers, there may be a hypersensitive reaction by the skin; in this case, the treatment should be discontinued. Keep cream away from eyes or areas with epithelial damage. After application, hands should be thoroughly washed. |
