20 g
Ingrediets: 100% Stevia rebaudiana leaf, dried.
Recommended intake: Sweeten food and/or drink by adding a few of the dried Stevia leaves to tea, fruit juice, and compote. Either the leaf as a whole may be used or it can be ground (ie. in a coffee grinder) into a fine Stevia powder. A Stevia solution may also be prepared by placing one-fourth a cup of Stevia leaves into a cup of hot water, wait until completely cooled, then drain; store the solution in the refrigerater.
For centuries, the natives of Brasil and Paraguay have been using Stevia as a sweetener. It gets its intense sweet flavor from the steviol glucosides contained within it. May be used to cook and bake as well. Today, European authorities have also approved Stevia as a sweetener. Despite its sweet flavor, it contains no calories or carbohydrates, therefore, may be consumed by diabetics and those on a weight loss diet. |
